J Dilla’s MPC And Moog Synthesizer To Be Displayed At The Smithsonian[Video]

The enduring legacy of J Dilla has been further reinforced today with news that the pioneering hip-hop producer’s MPC and Moog synthesizer (one specifically made by Robert Moog for the beatmaker) will be displayed at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC. Okayplayer reports that the visionary artist’s production tools will be on display at the Smithsonian’s forthcoming Museum of African American History and Culture, which is set to be completed by late 2015/early 2016. Few further details are available at this time, but the touching announcement from Dilla’s mother, Ma Dukes (who continues to run the J Dilla Foundation in her late son’s honor), and the Smithsonian can be watched below.
