Police seized more than $6 million worth of cocaine, weapons and cash during a pair of overnight south Fulton County drug raids.

And three men are in jail, authorities said.

Jorge Cavasos, Ulises Ruiz-Lopez and Jesus Castillo were arrested late Wednesday night when officers with Atlanta’s High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task force raided a warehouse outside of Atlanta.

Task force members made up of Fulton County and DeKalb County police narcotics officers went into the warehouse at 3700 Wendell Dr. in south Fulton around 9 p.m. Wednesday night, Fulton police spokeswoman Det. Melissa Parker told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“They located multiple kilos of cocaine,” Parker said. “While investigating there, they had enough information to obtain a search warrant for another location connected to the scene.”

Officers went into the second undisclosed location around 12:30 a.m., and discovered cash and weapons, police said.

DeKalb police had been working on the case for weeks when the warehouse was located on Wendell Drive, less than four miles from Fulton police headquarters.

Castillo, Ruiz-Lopez and Cavasos are being held without bond at the Fulton County Jail, each charged with cocaine trafficking.

All three waived their first appearances this morning before a Fulton magistrate and will appear in court again at 9:30 a.m. on June 5.
