*A new memorial website has been set up in Heavy D’s honor.
RememberHeavyD.com gives details of the public memorial to be held Thursday from noon until 6 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, New York. It also includes information on how to donate to the Heavy D and Xea Myers Fund, which has been established in support of Heavy D’s daughter.
A Heavy D hotline number can also be found at the site along with instructions for flower delivery.
As reported, a funeral for the Jamaica-born, Queens-raised musician-turned-actor is scheduled for the following day, Nov. 18, also at the Grace Baptist Church. P. Diddy and Rev. Al Sharpton are expected to speak, according to the Associated Press.
