Today is the second anniversary of the greatest entertainer to exist in physical form. Michael Joseph Jackson became synonymous with the pop music he made “popular” through his life of adversities and exultations. However his contentious death will surpass the value of his craft, as his fans remain shrouded in grief and his siblings remain motivated by greed. Mike tried in vain to warn us about the world’s apathy and we wouldn’t listen. And although we didn’t cast the first stone, we did nothing to protect him from the music industry nefarious multitude he unconsciously served.
The seventh seed of the Jackson strain, gave birth to Mike’s polymathic attributes that Kanye sacrificed his old Earth for. And would ultimately be the death heard around the universe. Yeah we killed Mike. Each day we fail to love one another and ignore all of the possibilities of reconciliation and hope for a better tomorrow. If Mike is listening, I would like to let him know that he isn’t missing a damn thing on this callous planet.
If anything shit has gotten worse and we are the ones to blame for his murder. And sadly we tend to hurt the ones that we claim to love the most. Two years doesn’t seem like a long time but through our remorse, it is a lifetime. We will always love you Mike, even though we killed you a long time ago. Happy Anniversary.
